He pulled it almost right away. You can't see it from the first camera angle.

This is a great teaching tool. We watch the video and see that it looks like the robber was on his way out the door. The person who was actually there, tells us the badguy was STILL threatening to kill people.

I admit to having the "what I saw on video wasn't enough" bias, too.

One more thing: from the youtube comments posted above, he FORGOT to disengage the safety under stress. My off duty carry WAS a 1911 until last year, but I switched for this very reason. I now carry Austrian plastic all the time. Food for thought.

I like Croatian plastic for the same reason

German plastic here. Plus some American plastic and indeed, some Austrian plastic somewhere in the back of the safe.

By contrast, this video looked like a better situation, tactically and legally, than the Ocala internet cafe shooting.

One key takeaway might be that seconds, and the decisions made in them, change your life, the bad guy's, and potentially all present.

Holy crap! If all you had was this video, you'd swear that there was a gang of 6 doing this hold up.

It's not the LAWS you necessarily have to worry about, it's how the laws are regulated.

That, and the witnesses scatter; some perhaps fled the store ... illustrating reasons to implore witnesses to remain available, and point out them as well as any evidence to arriving officers and investigators. Pictures/videos alone may tell a thousand words, or a thousand tales.
