I'm not real familiar with the metro area, but I'm sure as hell glad I don't live anywhere near the north west corner of that map. Looks like fricken Baghdad. I'd say a couple of those blocks could use a good old fashion carpet bombing.

It looks like 'No Man's Land' is Freemont Ave from Broadway to Lowrey to Dowling to 42nd Ave...Looks like the blood red path of a 'Tornado of Lead'....tornado of lead ha ha. I guess there must be a bus line that goes north and south on Freemont ave....That must be a 'choice assignment' after dark :o :o :o

Reports From the 4th, Minneapolis

They should make carry w/o a permit a felony. Probably wouldn't stop the gangbangers from tucking them in their pants, but at least they'd get a longer stay in the crowbar hotel.

I too avoid north minne at all cost.

There is a "Quiet Corner" where I live. Only 2 deaths in 33 years (Within 300 feet).
I often Open Carry, all my neighbors know me and don't care. I live in the middle of the block.
The 16 year old gang banger (Girl) has 6 bullet holes in her front window on the corner. I Open Carry as I feel like.
There is no "Action" in the middle of the block where I live. 4 of us and maybe more have Permits.
I wear a polished alloy, Gold Trim, Mother of Pearl grip. The envy of any Pimp. A young punk and his buddy
who I know came to the door. the punk spotted the .45 and said to his buddy "Holy ****, Lets Get out of here"
Neither has been here sense. Seems the punks know not to play "Games" where they might lose.
Let me know and I will help supply the ammo for the carpet Bombing. Dibs on the Brass!

OK, See Above. 3 victims all shot in the legs. They think they knew the shooter. Today all are sedated and cannot
be questioned. Huh? shot in the legs required total sedation? I'm not a doctor or even a lawyer. does this add up?
Can anyone explain this?

ATTENTION RESIDENTS
Robberies are increasing in 4TH Precinct July 31, 2013

Facts:
During the month of July, we have experienced an increase in robberies of persons. We have had 56 robberies this month. In twenty two of the robberies, a weapon was used, or implied or force was used to gain compliance. The majority of these robberies happened during the hours of 12pm to 8pm. Some of the robberies were groups of 3 or more who robbed a single individual or two people. Some of the robberies were one person, who “snatched and grabbed” something from a single person and ran. In most instances these were “crimes of opportunity.” Most of the robberies involved personal electronics.Suspect descriptions are varied, and often involve groups of youth loitering.

What you can do:
• Always pay attention to your surroundings. Plan your route and walk in well lit areas.
• Walk with a companion whenever possible. Use the most direct route to your destination.
• Walk confidently and purposefully.
• Carry a minimum of money in the smallest bills possible. Leave credit cards at home.
• Carry your keys or wallet in your pocket. Leave large purses and bags at home
• Try not to carry personal electronics with you. Take your ear buds out of your ears. Limit the time spent on your cell phone when walking alone.
• Become familiar with businesses that are open late.
• Write down the serial number of bikes, personal electronic and other items that can easily be taken.
• Advise your children to bike in pairs, or bike with them.
• If confronted by a suspect(s), give them what they ask for.
• Your personal safety is most important. Your personal belongings can be replaced.
• Call 911 as soon as it is safe to do so. Try to remember personal characteristics about your assailant or any vehicle they might be using.
• If you are being followed by someone on foot: consider crossing the street and walking or running toward a place where is likely to be other people.
