He's a national hero.

I remember the good old days when heroes sought asylum from the Soviets by coming to America. Now things have been reversed. Our heroes have to flee to foreign countries.

Not sure of his motives, so hero may be a strong word. What I can say is that he exposed somethig that we have known for a long time and have not been able to prove it or get any level of traction to actually see what was going on.

What the NSA and other agencies are doing is unreasonable, unethical and unconstitutional, end of story. Ergo, what Snowden did was necessary. He certainly isn't a villain or traitor.

Hasn't the government been telling us that if we see something wrong to say something? Maybe that's just for the dumb peasants.

The difference between the two, Nixon was willing to take the blame for what he did. Obama, don't hold your breath...
Snowden, can't be trusted. He's shown that already. Any info that he gives to the Russians makes him a traitor IMHO.

You spelled hero wrong.

If you don't like the 4th Amendment, why don't you start a petition to have it repealed?

No, my spelling of traitor is correct. You just don't understand its meaning. I love the 4th. I was speaking of his giving any info to the Russians. Next time read slower, then think about what you've just read.. At least my post, even though you missed the meaning, gave you another reason to raise your post count. I'll be looking for your replies to my posts in the future. I'd like to stay longer, but unlike you, I have a life to lead that doesn't include this forum.

He also gave the information to Al Qaeda. And Americans, whose rights are being violated.

If you can find a way he can tell Americans what their government is doing without letting the Russians or Al Qaeda know, I'd be very interested in hearing about it.

The enemies of the United States, Al Qaeda, China, Germany and the Russians already knew of or had the exact information Snowden leaked before he made it public.

The Government is pissed because the general public now knows what they've been doing.

Snowden is a heroe. It took some serious brass to risk everything and let the people know what this regime is doing to us..
He had to flee to protect his own life. The feds are ticked and want him dead, why because he let us know what they are really up to. So heres my question what more sinister anti constitutional stuff is being hidden behind door number 2. I dont know but I can guess its worse then what door 1 held.

Personally I believe we need more snowdens out there. The government needs to be held accountable. They have not been and look whats happening, it aint pretty.

The next snowden we need is someone from benghazi. Its now reported peoples families are being threatened in order to keep it quiet. This is sick and we need another snowden here and if we can get it, maybe the terrorist in the white house will finally be removed.
Give me liberty or give me death... Those willing to give up liberty for safety deserve neither...

Apparently he's a really committed traitor. Take a look at the girlfriend he left to disclose this info.

I would buy that Snowden was a hero if he would have stayed here and fought the government's case against him. Sorry, trying to peddle your stuff to various foreign agitprop sources and trying to get paid (cash/goods) for your info makes you a spy, not a "hero" in this country.

We have a long history of folks in the US who have stood up to what is wrong and paid the price, and then were honored for it. (like MLK)

This guy is a self serving opportunist. Read spy/traitor. He knew what he was doing and tried to do well for himself with it.

I would say the same whether the President has a D or an R or anything else in his "party" column.
