More "reasonable, common sense" incrementalism. Sell the tracking concept today as establishing means to locate stolen weapons. Then tomorrow make embedded RFID tags manditory in all firearms. Suddenly all guns are possesed by naked citizens in glass houses. Sure hope effective counter-electronics show up before it's too late.

A good MRI scanner would render most RFID chips useless. But the gun itself may get stuck to the magnet, and good luck getting that off a 1.5 or 3T MRI! :shock:

(unless, of course, it's a tupperware gun........... :bolt: )
