I was six months back from Viet Nam. I remember mixed feelings: disgust at the protesters behavior and then total shock that American soldiers would actually open fire on students. Only commie thugs did that. A watershed moment for the country. I still have an original Kent State poster somewhere. Still pisses me off that my little brother had to go into the Army after I had served, when so many families had no one go.
