"If you know gun enthusiasts, turn them in"

Austin, TX police chief:

“And that’s why it’s important for us as Americans to know our neighbors, know our families- tell somebody. If you know somebody that is acting with a lot of hatred towards any particular group- especially if it’s somebody you know is a gun enthusiast or is armed with these type of firearms and they’re showing any kind of propensity for hatred- it doesn’t mean we’re going to take them to jail, but we might want to vet these people.” ..............

Austin is the Island of communism in TX. Most libtards that don't want to leave the state migrate there eventually.

If you're going to do that for the second why not do it for the first and fourteenth?
Do you know someone organizing people to protest? Vet them.
Do you know someone passing a petition you don't agree with? Vet them.
Do you know someone leaving their home state and exercising one or more of the rights of a citizen in the state where they reside? Vet them.

I tend to think people project much of the world from who they are and how they live.

An example can be, if you do not trust yourself with a gun, you can project that you can not trust your neighbor with guns.

It is poorly stated, antis want to ban guns because of their personal issues, and their inability to not project their personal issues on everyone else. No fact will change there minds, because the facts do not change who they are, only lots and lots of counseling might.

That is a very true statement when it comes to many of the anti gun politicians or other anti gun people in general.
They think the general populous or gun owner will be as stupid, uneducated or careless as they are.

Very accurate. This is the very crap my parents encountered in eastern Europe. They came here and would be turning over in their graves if they knew this was going on.

The only gun enthusiast I know of is this dianne feinstein person, I seem to remember her reading all sorts of scary black rifle catalogs, and she seemed to be showing off her assault weapon collection every where she went.

Oh and there was this dea agent that seemed to loved to show off his glock to school children.

I think thats all.

Stolen from another website.

Police: So your neighbor is a gun owner, and holds extreme views?

Concerned Texan: Heck yea, he and I took our AR's to Red's Indoor range in Pflugerville last weekend. That's where some of his political views kinda troubled me.

Police: What kind of political views? What was it that troubled you? Can you be specific?

Concerned Texan: Well, I don't like to judge, and I can't say I've met one to know for sure, but... I think he might be a Democrat.

That may be sarcastic but we all should realize that such remarks are not at all far from the mark of how law enforcement agencies act. Movements that callenge the status quo (whether right or left wing) will always be vetted by the government. From gun rights to tea partiers to labor unions to civil rights to free staters, all have been scrutinized or worse by the state.
