Not suprised. I've seen more Eotech's go down at matches than any other optics platform.

As the owner of two EOTech 512's, I wanted to know more about what is going on with this problem.

I e-mailed EOTech customer service and received the response below. Looks like I'll be waiting for a communication on a solution:

Hello,
Thank you for inquiring on your EOTechs.
EOTech is committed to providing the highest quality products to our customers. The Company continues to work on improving our products and will update you when we have additional information.

Wow, unless they are still working in an official statement/resolution it has been starting to look like they are trying to keep this as quiet as possible.

Military Issues Warning On EOTech Sights

Postby jshuberg on Mon Oct 05, 2015 8:38 pm

Has their QC dropped recently or something? I have a model 556 that I've had on my machine gun for years. It's taken a ton of abuse, and has been through several carbine classes on various rifles. Other than changing the batteries a few times, I've had absolutely zero problems with it.

I have not had issues with either of my EOTechs - 2012 and 2013 build dates.

However:
if there is a known product defect due to poor manufacturing or design, acknowledged by the manufacturer - I'd like to have them inspected, repaired, or replaced by the factory (like any product I own).

I'll update when EOTech replies with a solution.
