So if Osseo Gun Club wants to use OGC, they have every legal right to do so - as Oakdale Gun Club has no interest in using OGC.

Unless Officers at Oakdale Gun Club wised up , although I doubt it.

Thanks for that useful tidbit of information.

I'll never think of Oakdale Gun Club the same way again, and I'm not sure I want to "shoot" there if that's what really happens there...
Maybe that's why the dues are so high and why it's so "hard" to get in....

You wonder sometimes, who discovers this stuff, and then who even thinks to query it. Kind of like that Civet Cat coffee, that comes from their poop. Who thought that one up.

No one ever said one has the right or someone else does not. This site is not a court for a trademark infringement case proceedings.

I would contend that if one searches this site for the term OGC they will find that the majority of the uses in the past referred to Oakdale Gun Club. By using it for Osseo Gun Clun you are causing confusion. As the purpose of this site is communication I would suggest we communicate clearly. Perhaps all have to get better at not using this acronym.

So did someone shoot their leg or did two clubs get in an argument over the letters o, c, and g?

In 1989, a random of the journalistic persuasion asked hacker Paul Boutin “What do you think will be the biggest problem in computing in the 90s?” Paul's straight-faced response: “There are only 17,000 three-letter acronyms.” (To be exact, there are 26^3 = 17,576.)

The problem with this OGC discussion is that;
one third of the members have ADD
another one third have OCD
and the last third are WTF....................
