The number of civilian gun owners has grown alongside the U.S. gun stock. In 2015, there were approximately 55 million gun owners, compared with approximately 44 million in 1994. But because of population increases, the share of Americans who own guns over the same period dipped slightly, from 25 percent to 22 percent.

We are winning but can't let our guard down for a second. I think that time is a key factor in their desperation. The gun business is booming and more homes have guns in them than ever before so the longer it takes for them to confiscate our guns...the harder it's going to be. They know this.

The reason I thought that shall-issue would be the winning issue for us is that it breaks their most powerful weapon.
They'd spent decades trying to convince gun owners that gun ownership was somehow odd and perverse. That gun ownership was rare and unusual.
It's hard to maintain that lie when there are 240,000 of your friends and neighbors have shelled out $100 for a carry permit.
Just this past Wednesday, Missouri legalized concealed carry without requiring a license. This grants concealed carry citizens the freedom to go where open carry is allowed. They join 10 other states that recognize constitutional carry. They also changed a few other laws.
Missouri has added Stand Your Ground laws as well as broadened Castle Doctrine. Castle Doctrine will no encompass baby sitters and allow them to protect lives in someone else’s home.

How does SCOTUS change (MINN) state law as it applies to carry law?

It wouldn't change anything until the Minnesota Supreme Court had a liberal advantage and a case opposing Shall issue gets appealed to the court. If the US SC overturns Heller and reverses the tenet that the right is individual, then all bets are off.
