In a hail of gunfire, Conroe jewelry store owner Jeffery Turner Jr. made the decision
to shoot back – with his AK-47 rifle – at four men who opened fire on his customers and
staff during an attempted robbery Monday afternoon.

'They' say, "Nobody needs an AK-47", but I bet it's way more dispiriting to a would-be robber than a handgun, or even a shotgun (OK, the shotgun's probably close).

If you can pull the trigger fast enough there's not much that sounds more menacing than an AK.
