First ever CCW defensive handgun use caught on video in Wisc

First ever CCW defensive handgun use caught on video in Wisconsin.

Thoughts? Criticism? Should he have stayed out of it? How about the manual safety? Also, very good YouTube channel that has been exploding in growth. I've been subbed for a few months now. He's gotten 50,000 new subs in the last month.

After watching it. I wouldn't have done what he did. At the point he got his wife to "safety" I would have kept going. I am assuming he had no knowledge of anybody else in there. Somebody could have been a scout for the robber and could have shot the CCW guy in the back of the head at any point.

I don't fault him but I wouldn't have done the same. He also shows many things that need to be improved. He's lucky he or one of the other customers weren't shot.

I completely agree. my concern would've been protecting my wife. Even moving towards the back of the store where we couldn't have been outflanked. What struck me most about the video was that when he first attempted to fire on the bad guy, the angle was such that had the BG returned fire, the guys wife was the back stop. I understand the "heat of the moment", but the guy lost all spatial awareness.

Personally I would like to think I would have come to aid if I could do so safely. Also the wife was still in the store, in the rear area. This person could have still went nuts on people including the wife and him.
I would say that the key word here is, passive safety, he could have been someone who practiced often but under the stress of the moment slipped up. That was the moment luck was on his side.
What's that saying, if good men do nothing ?

Of course we all sound like Monday am quarterbacks, who have had lots of time to study the video, when the Chessehead had split seconds to act.

I'm glad there isn't video of my first gunfight for everyone to watch and Monday morning quarterback.

Second one, hell yeah! Much less stress incontinence that time......
It turns out that what you have is less important than what you do with it.
