Jurors deliberated for four hours Friday before acquitting Stephen Spencer of homicide, aggravated assault and terroristic threats. He was freed after 453 days in Luzerne County Correctional Center following the July 2017 shooting.

“Defense attorney John Pike painted Spencer as a hard-working family man and homeowner who ran his own business, was licensed to carry the gun and had no criminal record.”

It’s called disparity of force. A gang of unarmed attackers can be just as deadly as a lone, armed attacker.
The only advice I’d share is adopting a policy of self preservation and NEVER mix carrying a firearm with drinking or voluntarily putting yourself in an atmosphere where others around you are doing so. In other words, even if you’re not drinking yourself, don’t put yourself in harms way by being around a bunch of meatheads. This guy could’ve saved himself a lot of aggravation, time in jail and a bunch of money.
