Good thing we have a system of checks and balances.

Well, at least until the insurrectionists try to overthrow the government again. The price of freedom is eternal vigilance.

I always wondered about the " insurrection".

OK, you lied about everything for past eight years, but you finally got one right.

Even though, FBI investigation showed no coordination and intent for "insurrection", hey you got this one right.

Even though, Harvard University study showed that protesters were there to address issues with election, you got it right this time.

Even though majority of Americans now believe "insurrection" to be another leftist hoax. Congrats for saving the republic.

But, I always wondered what would have happened after the "insurrection".

I don't know? I guess all the leftists would have just thrown their hands in the air and gave up.

Of course, Supreme Court would have said, looks good to us.

Hey, you Republicans, didn't you know you can't just challenge an election result. Only "insurrectionist" do that.

Is this one of those "Who are you going to believe, me or your lying eyes" comments?

I'm pretty sure the Supreme Court did say the election looks good to them, including 60+ courts before them. The republicans did try to challenge the election. And some of them tried to overthrow the legitimately elected government. They are in the "find out" phase right now.

It's like the civil war. You don't get a participation trophy for attempting and failing. You go to jail.

Umm, this post is about a state government stomping the citizens right to keep and bare arms, not J6.

The jest of the article.
New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham (d) on Friday issued an emergency public health order that suspends the open and permitted concealed carry of firearms in Albuquerque for 30 days.

IMHO, this is the future of gun control. Governor's using "health emergency orders" to forward their anti-gun agenda.
I will never apologize for being an American.

Remember, EO's are not laws and elected servants can't dictate to us outside of the legitimate legislative process.

Who is going to stop it If your governor and attorney general are both anti's? The legislature is basically impotent without the governor's support, and it will take years to work it's way through the courts.

Just continuing to mend fences aren’t you?

You really think that was a civil war? How many armed insurgents were there? I mean other than with sticks and Buffalo horns?

We foresaw this - in 2015, with a group of bipartisan legislators, we stripped the MN Governor of their authority to do anything like this in MN. The law would have to be changed to give him that authority back. The bill passed with a strong bipartisan majority and was signed into law by Governor Dayton.

I do not see that happening.
