You might think that it’s a dumb law, but laws and regulations preserve freedom by striking a balance among individuals' liberties.

Yup. And this one goes too far in the wrong direction. That doesn't mean all regulations against semi-automatic rifles are dumb. Just these cosmetic ones in particular are really dumb.

I want to know if Markup is willingly going to turn in his evil M1A and it's evil magazines when Comrade Waltz demands it.
I will never apologize for being an American.

Notice who is proposing those 'dumb laws' yet? Still voting for them?

I'm not a single issue voter. But I will vote in the primaries against those who propose gun laws like this.

 I seriously doubt there is any Democrat running for office in that **** hole down there that won't be tripping over themselves supporting these 'dumb laws'.

Why does he feel like he needs a weapon of war like that in the first place? That rifle was designed specifically for killing people. And 20-round magazines? How many people does he feel like he needs to kill at one time?

No kidding. Rich white guy doesn’t care if they pass more gun laws, he can just move his war weapon to his second house in a freer state. The single mother living in an apartment in the Phillips neighborhood keeping a G17 on hand for defense of her family will just be SOL.

Does the proposed law ban Glocks? I didn't see that in the text.

Like I said before, I'm opposed to this bill. It's dumb. And I really don't think it'll go anywhere this year.

Ok, make it a single mother in Phillips with a Kel-Tec Sub2000 that takes Glock mags. It's a far more capable defensive tool anyway, easier to shoot accurately, and cheaper than a Glock.

If you are opposed to this bill, do you plan on sending any money to the MN Gun Owners Caucus to help defeat it?

I want to see the list of candidates they endorse, especially in the democratic primary. And if they endorse any election deniers in the general election, that's a hard no.

The list of their endorsed candidates in the 2022 general election doesn't leave me a lot of hope though. I do hope they have a question on the questionnaire they send out on whether the candidate denies the 2020 presidential election results.

How about the ones that denied the 2016 presidential election results?

Sure thing. Why would I oppose something like that?
