EDIT - I noticed that the rules forbid publishing the full text of articles. So ... Summary: There have been sexual assaults in broad daylight on the trails of some Eagan parks.

This isn't a perfect world by any stretch of the imagination. Carrying doesn't mean that bad things won't happen to you but it does mean that you have some recourse. The trail systems in these parks are time consuming and difficult to traverse. Help, if any becomes aware, is a LONG way off. Eagan has a GREAT park system, but the parking lots for these are fraught with theft, and the trails are the haunt of some true psychopaths. Nothing that should keep us at home or away from nature, but something that we should approach soberly and with good sense.

Most parks and trail systems are a bad actors play ground. To many people are in condition “white”.

Well at least if you drop one, you can just move along like nothing happened unless someone witnessed it. Suppose there are hidden cameras though.
