Conviction for machine gun possession struck down

Case raises several legal points that someone with a better understanding of law than mine will have to analyze. I'm told that strictly this only applies to one person's conviction and does not in and of itself set a broader precedent, but we'll take what we can get.

Correct, this decision was "as applied" and applies only to this case. This was also at a trial court, so it is not a decision that sets any precedent.
