Yep. It's a certainty that the Senate will make changes to the bill, most likely adding in their own pork, so maybe the Short act will just fly in under the radar.

It'd go to a conference committee, then back to both Houses for a simple up or down.

It doesn't necessarily have to go to a conference committee, it depends whether the other house body can pass the amended bill.

If the Senate passes anything other than the House's language unchanged, it will need to go to a conference committee to resolve the differences.

Theoretically the House could pass the Senate's language without going through a committee, but that almost never happens.
