Man fatally shot confronting suspected car thief outside his workplace in south Minneapolis
Police said the man was shot outside his workplace while trying to stop another man from stealing something inside a car.
MINNEAPOLIS — Minneapolis police said a man who confronted a suspected car thief was shot dead Thursday morning in the city's Seward neighborhood.
The shooting happened at the man's place of work shortly before 7 a.m. in the area of the 2600 block of 32nd Avenue South.

In a Thursday morning police news conference, Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O'Hara said the man was confronting another man trying to steal something out of another employee's car when he was shot after a struggle between the two men.
