Palin's sister-in-law arrested for burglary

Postby elmerfuddem on Sun Apr 05, 2009 8:41 am

The Palin family continues to grab headlines, and once again it has nothing to do with politics.
This time it surrounds Sarah Palin's sister-in-law, Diana Palin, who was arrested on Thursday for allegedly burglarizing a house.
And she reportedly brought her 4-year-old daughter along for the heists, according to the Anchorage Daily News.
Citing an affidavit filed Friday, the Alaskan newspaper reported that Diana Palin (half sister to Sarah Palin's husband, Todd) was caught by the homeowner, Theodore Turcott, who was hiding in his bathroom with a gun. He found Palin going straight to a bedroom cabinet where he had kept his cash in the past.

This is why I don't watch the news... so some lady that married into a family does something stupid, and it's news because she's related to someone.

The actions of some crazy relative of mine should have no connection to me, I had nothing to do with it...

I agree with you an accusation against an in law should a not reflect on you. Muckraking at its finest.

Muckraking? http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/muckraking
No, this is a news report of a suspected burglary, and arrest.

Here is a re-write that is suitable for publication in the "Armed Citizen" http://www.webwonks.org/Extra/NRA/Armed.html
The names were omitted to protect the innocent.
Citing an affidavit filed Friday, the Alaskan newspaper reported that the suspected bugler was caught by the homeowner, who was hiding in his bathroom with a gun. He found the suspect going straight to a bedroom cabinet where he had kept his cash in the past.

The case is newsworthy because the suspect is related to someone famous.

That's my point exactly, just because a famous person's in-law did something stupid shouldn't reflect on them. If my cousin's husband goes out and gets a DUI should the Bemidji Pioneer do an article about how my cousin's husband got a DUI? Now if Sarah drove the get-away car then I could see a reason to bring her into this, otherwise it must have been an incredibly slow day in the news.

Obamas actual brother arrested for posession and resisting arrest: http://www.peacefmonline.com/index.php? ... &Itemid=60

I believe many more people will know all about Sarah Palin's half-sister-in-law, because it is the leftist media who feel it is their duty to smear conservatives at all costs.

That was BO's half brother arrested for pot.

Media should back off Palin and leave her alone

Fox and ABC TV, interviewing various women reporters and some men, want to just keep trying to trash Gov. Sarah Palin, but say nothing about Sen. John McCain.

The election is over, and these interviewers just can't consider Palin was working for presidential hopeful McCain. The staff assigned to Palin was from the Republican National Committee, and she tried to carry the torch requested of her.

Frankly, I think the women are jealous of her. She was not in one of the influential clubs of the eastern states, but down where the average person lives. I know she will not lower herself to answer the critics, and I see why. Today Palin has her hands full with the volcano eruption, as does Gov. John Hoeven, of North Dakota, with the flooding of the Red River.

I say to the media to lay off, and donate to the Red Cross trying to help these governors.

In the two examples above, one is an actual blood relative, immediate family. The other is an in-law. You say it is newsworthy because Diana is "related" to someone famous. We are all related. Would a second cousin twice removed in-law still be newsworthy if it serves your purpose? I bet it would. How would you prefer I judge you, by your in-laws or immediate family's actions? Or maybe, I should just judge you by your actions....

I am pasting media articles about the misdeeds of a public figures relative. The only reason it is a media article, is the suspect is related to a public figure. I am not judging anyone by posting it.

Perhaps a letter to the editor of the media covering the news article would be more productive then offering to judge me.

ELmer, drop it,

Its a non issue, just like Roger Clinton, Hugh Rodham, Billy Carter, Teddy Kennedy, Donald Nixon, Sam Houston Johnson, and several other "first siblings" or "first in laws"

Some were just eff ups, some were down right crooked, and some just didn't have a brain in the normal sense. LBJ had the secret service prevent him from talking to the press, and he was later on a very short leash regarding his drinking and his check righting.

Both of Hillary's boorish brothers should be in Jail on several charges, but that never went anywhere. Roger Clinton was doing Coke with supermodels in the White House according some accounts, more a few suggest he was just the enabler.....

Everybody has skeletons in the closet, it was just once upon a time the press had the moral's to limit investigation to the people who mattered.

I"m wondering why you care enough to post it. I imagine most folks here really don't give rat's ass about SP's sister in law, I know I don't. I regret even reading this thread. My mistake.
