Freedom.

So you are advocating for no laws, no legal system, no rules?

I'm advocating for Freedom. Freedom scares a lot of people.

You don't want an answer. You said it yourself, you want to play "games".

I'm glad we had this conversation. It really brought out the gun grabbers in the group.

First off I never said I wanted to play games? I do not play games. I say what I mean. I am very direct in my communication.

Second, is there someting you want to say? You seem that you want to imply something. I am not sure who you are calling a "gun grabber" or what you mean by that.

So you're suggesting that there are no alternatives between repealing arbitrary bac levels & complete anarchy? Your question is totally & utterly ridiculous, and can't really be taken seriously. None of us here seem to be able to break through your seeming inability &/or unwillingness to have a rational conversation, so I'll suggest you do some reading on your own. My recommendations would be "The Virtue of Selfishness" and "Capitalism: The Unknown Ideal", both by Ayn Rand. Others might have different suggestions as well. Have fun & enjoy your homework...

By looking at the current laws that place restrictions on our freedoms, arbitrary restrictions such as BAC .04 or .08, speed limits, discharge of a firearms within city limits too name just a very few. These restriction were created not because the majority of the population were driving drunk, driving 100 mph and or shooting their guns in the air. It's all feel good because a few did hit or kill someone else, so now we all have to live within these restrictions when we never did them in the first place. I don't need some law to tell me not to drive fast through a residential area.

No, I am not saying that. What I am saying is that I do not have a problem with it as written now. I am open to other options. I would be fine if it was changed to .08. I just can not understand why having one is that big of a deal.

Exactly. Hence the suggestions for further readings...

[...]It's like this. How many times have you heard the phrase "There oughta be a law!" uttered when something distasteful (to the speaker) is encountered?[...] The problem with laws is that they tend to attain critical mass and begin to reach out in ways that folks never envisioned.
[...]
The problem is that the "R" side of the aisle is the same as the "D" side, except that one side talks about Jesus and tanks more.
On the flip side of this is that while the modern "conservative" doesn't like paying taxes and gripes about the Commies (or Taliban) a whole lot, they want the government to step in and attack things they don't like because they're too conservative.
[...]
Now where this meshes together is that because the modern "conservative" isn't tolerant enough (thus, too conservative) to just let people be, the government grows to enforce laws made up to keep "them" (pick your favorite minority--it's like a flavor of the week club) in line. But at the same time, because they allow themselves to be licensed and regulated and taxed into submission (not conservative enough), they lose their rights because they voted the big enforcing government into power in the first place.

I say what I want to say. You thinking that I "imply something" is rather amusing. I do have a soft touch with people. I can see why you think I wouldn't want to hurt your feelers, and just tell you what I think. What am I saying that you don't get?

People that want to take guns from other people for any reason are what I refer to as "gun grabbers". Any questions?

Court: Breath Test Accuracy Can Vary
Thursday, July 9, 2009 2:25 PM

SAN FRANCISCO -- The California Supreme Court has acknowledged that Breathalyzer results mean different things for different drivers.

The unanimous high-court decision issued Thursday means suspected drunken drivers can attack the accuracy of roadside breath test results in some cases.

Studies have shown the breath-to-blood ratio varies widely among different people and even in the same person depending on such factors as health, menstrual cycle and even the weather.

The one-size-fits-all tests determine the amount of alcohol in the breath and then, using a scientific formula, converts that figure into an estimation of alcohol in the blood.

Lawyers say juries in several other states already are allowed to consider the test's variability.
