Lawsuits against the admin???????

U.S. appeals court rejects challenges to California gun laws

Even more stupid. What courts think these are constitutionally OK????????

So for me to file a lawsuit I have to show actual damages. What damages are the states claiming at this point?

It would be a lot easier to get a gun and file the serial number off than to buy a computer and 3D printer then learn how to print parts. I don't get what people are so worked up about. People have been making guns at home for decades. Not to mention most 3D printed guns are completely impractical when compared to modern weapons.

I agree. The ones I've seen look like a single shot plastic brick.

Let me get this straight. According to the 9th circus, laws restricting magazine capacity are unconstitutional, but laws requiring chamber indicators and magazine disconnectors are. Likewise laws restricting concealed carry are Constitutional, but laws restricting open carry are not.

Psst! There are several methods now for recovering the serial numbers from filed or melted off serial numbers.

3D printers are much easier for amateurs to use but currently produce crap guns. A CNC milling machine can produce quality parts but requires more knowledge of metallurgy than most people have. The uproar is over when eventually we'll have the ease of use of a 3D printer combined with the quality of a milling machine's output.

I'm not worried about banning. Let 'em. There are people whose hobby is hacking through every possible software and hardware barrier placed in their way. Eventually there'll be 3D printers with any government-mandated banware/snitchware purged out them, and banned plans circulating all over the dark net. The government couldn't eliminate bathtub gin let alone narcotics, 3D printed guns will be the same.

As I understand it, the ruling is that it can be legal for a state to ban concealing a gun, but not carry altogether. That sorta kinda makes sense.

ETA: of course on balance the whole ruling sucks and will go to the US Supreme Court- hopefully after three or four Trump appointees are on the bench.

I thought we had a very impassioned member who took care of that for us.
