The program, which was approved by city council last week, would run through the end of the year, the Minneapolis Police Department continues to work to cover a staffing shortage.

Lowry Hill, of course.

I wonder how many of these useful idiots voted for the fools running their city and are now paying extra for a service that should be provided via taxes?

Wait until their taxes go up more because other areas of the city can’t afford the same level of protection. Guess what the racial make up of those areas will be? Systemic racism you know.

Or the courts rule that they can't pay for extra protection, because other areas can't afford it.

And how long it will be after that before they hire private security.

This is a step along a troubling path.

This is what happens when the crowd with the 'ALL ARE WELCOME HERE' signs in their yard discover there are no longer enough Police to keep '...that kind of thing....' confined to other parts of town.

Brings up the question of how much tax was refunded when de-funding the police, Can we guess at none?

The "extra" police service the residents are paying for will be the norm beginning the first shift this implimented as the city will reassign the "normal" resources to other areas - whether that be personnel or finances. I don't see this as working out for the residents as they hope.

You don’t have to guess, it is a matter of public record, and your guess of none is correct.
