You EFFEN squid-brain!!!! How the EFF could your forget THAT, unless you're even older and more senile than me or HammAR?? Of course, considering you managed to grow a full moustache out of EFFEN nose hair, you must be at least 110 or so. That would certainly explain the gray color!!!

Lake Phalen assailant dies in prison

A teenager convicted of beating a couple at a vigil for the victim of an assault at Lake Phalen has died in prison.

Authorities say 17-year-old Wang Moua Vue died in the St. Cloud prison on Nov. 14.

An autopsy report has not been released, but foul play is not suspected.

Vue pleaded guilty to beating the couple on Aug. 4 at the vigil for a terminally ill cancer patient named 'Tammie,' who was beaten while walking around Lake Phalen. According to the criminal complaint, Vue attacked two victims with a baseball bat. The two suffered minor injuries.

The attack was one of two assaults involving a baseball bat as a weapon at Lake Phalen in one week. However, St. Paul Police said it remains unclear whether the two attacks were related.

Vue was serving two consecutive terms for second-degree assault. He was to be released in November of 2011.

Lake Phalen assault victim returns to ring in holidays

Image

A vicious baseball attack four months ago nearly took her life. But on Tuesday, the victim returned to the location of her assault to help the city of St. Paul celebrate the beginning of the holiday season.

The victim, who only wanted to be identified as Tammie, frequently visited Lake Phalen. It was her release away from her chemotherapy. As a terminally ill cancer patient, the mix of radiation and medication would make her feel jittery and a long walk around the lake would calm her.

But in August, three men assaulted Tammie. She was beat with a baseball bat shortly after midnight near Johnson Parkway.

"I feel luck to be alive," she said. "I really feel they were trying to kill me."

Tammie's hands were broken and her left middle finger was severed after trying to fight off her assailants.

But Tammie showed true resiliency Tuesday by joining St. Paul Mayor Chris Coleman to flip the switch, lighting the holiday display in Phalen Park.

The holiday celebration will raise funds for four local charities: Second Harvest Heartland, Union Gospel Mission, St. Paul Parks Conservancy, and Under Construction. The cost to tour Holiday Lights in the Park will be $8 per car Sunday through Thursday and $10 on holidays, Fridays and Saturdays.

St. Paul Police said they are still searching for three suspects in Tammy’s case.

Just returned from Bill's after taking Tammie out to set up her membership......
Thanks again John M. :!: :!:

We had the opportunity to shoot 3 different revolvers (2 j frames) and have narrowed it down to the j frame. We had her shooting some light load .38's provided by '1911 fan" (thanks pete they worked great in all the firearms)

Prior to leaving we talked with squib joe and looked at a used Taurus J frame with a bobbed hammer that had just come in. Fits her hand very well. Unfortunately we did not have time to test fire it due to Tammie having an appt this afternoon. We are going to try and get out midday tomorrow and test fire it. P wally is going to convert the funds to a gift cert or possibly meet us out there so if she chooses it she can take it home.

Should any of you get out there today/tonight and joe is still around ask to take a look at it. Input requested.

BTW: She is hitting COM consistently at 21 ft shooting double action..... :D :D

Also she applied for and received her permit the week after class....(got it in about 10 days)

Then you must have missed this, in the first paragraph of the wiki page..

but he is probably best known to younger audiences for his role as Col. John "Hannibal" Smith, the cigar-chomping leader of a renegade commando squad, in the 1980s television show The A-Team.
