BATFE doesn't usually get involved with routine criminal cases like this, but I'm guessing we may be in for a change in this, especially in gang-related cases. The Feds are getting more involved.
The Feds are getting involved because they have more power in certain areas of sentencing and in interstate cases. For all we know, this gun has been followed for a long time, or perhaps, the sentencing guidelines for a fed crime under NFA is stronger than Minnesota's. I do think that as the Gang's become more interlaced across state lines, RICO laws will be used more aggressively against them,
