I read the original story over the weekend while at work. I was surprised to find out the next morning that the lone survivor is a friend/former co-worker of my wife.

I don't know--call my silly but when a 55 year old guy is still living with his mom, it just seems to shout out that there is a problem there.

She had a debilitating stroke several years ago. The son had been living with her prior to that. There was a bit of a controversy over whose turn it was to take care of mom.

The above was from my wife's boss. The lone survivor of the shooting was a former co-worker of my wife's.

They released her from the hospital with bullet still lodged behind cheek under ear. I thought this was odd, but I guess there's nothing they can do until the swelling goes down.

This is why you don't want to go busting in to that region of the face with a scalpel to go after shrapnel:



Gotta plan this one if you don't want them to loose facial control for the rest of their life.
