Officials deemed the bouncer acted with "reasonable force."

The Hennepin County attorney's office will not press charges against a bouncer who fatally shot a man at a northeast Minneapolis bar last month, an attorney in the office said Friday.
"We believe that he acted with reasonable force and properly used self-defense," said Marlene Senechal, managing attorney of the office's adult prosecution division.
Tirso Cruz Gomez, 24, of Columbia Heights was found bleeding to death from a gunshot wound when police arrived at Grumpy's Bar about 1 a.m. on July 11.
Police said Gomez was armed with a knife and had slashed at the bouncer before he was shot.
The bouncer had a legal permit to carry a pistol. Police said he had tried to take the knife away from Gomez and needed stitches for hand wounds.
According to Minnesota law, no crime has been committed when a person uses deadly force against another if the action was necessary in order to resist or prevent an offense that the person reasonably believed would expose him to death or great bodily harm.
