On Saturday, November 13, 2010, police were dispatched to a robbery of person occurring at the intersection of Pascal St and Transit Av. Around 8:50 p.m., two juveniles were walking northbound on Pascal St when they were approached by a black male described as approximately 6’ tall, 180 lbs with a slender, but muscular build. The suspect pointed a silver handgun at the victims and ordered them to the ground. He then ordered them to give him all of their money and struck one of the juveniles in the head with the handgun. The suspect then fled the scene

That's one block west of Hamline Ave and 1 block North Co Rd B2. (There's a bus stop at the corner of B2 and Hamline and it's ~ half mile East of Rosedale mall.

Why would you need a gun. After all, if you give them what they want, they'll just go away. OR, Pistol whip your companions, or worse.......

As I read this I was wondering what ail of you would have done. Would you shoot the guy, or would you give him your money and let him hit you?

JohnC,
There is no way to answer that given the very few details...and knowing that the media usually gets more wrong than right. The only people who make big, bold pronouncements in these cases as to what they would have done are those you don't want advice from.
I do not believe in the collective wisdom of individual ignorance.

[sarcasm]I don't know for sure what I would do, but it would involve using my handcuffs on him and turning him over to the police after my citizen's arrest.....[/sarcasm]
It turns out that what you have is less important than what you do with it.

That's what I would do. If you seem pathetic enough, maybe they'll leave you alone.

Seems to work for those fainting goats.

Ahrens, you work in the ghetto. Pretty sure you should be used to it by now.

Speaking of, I saw some punk try to beat up a real tall dude with about 5 foot arms. He lost a few teeth and it was over in one swing. Funny stuff cause they were playing basketball on break at work and the littler dude had a habit of hitting people down below so he could make shots. He missed, and the other guy didn't.
