This is stunning technology. I lost a relative due to complications resulting from a burn. I applaud the inventor.

good god I wish they had this when I was getting all my grafting. Most of my left arm has been skin grafted, five times, due to graft failures and whereas I didnt really feel much in the arm, both of my thighs and my backside hurt for months whilst the donor sites were healing. I hopethis technology proves viable, it will save many lives and ease so much suffering. Skin surgery sucks bad, real bad.

that looks like awesome technology! wonder how long it will be before widespread use - if it works like that blurb showed all the time, burn units will go nuts for it.

This is what the future looks like, rapid regrowth and repair of your own tissues using your own cells. This will make so many procedures obsolete.

And, no babies were killed in this procedure.

Thats kewl, The guy in the vid stated 2nd degree burns I wonder the results with 3rd degree burns.
My grafs took on the first try but still required months to heal.
I wonder if this type skin is less effected by sun damage? Regular grafs sunburn pretty darn easily.
From what I recall at the burn center they stated Bon fires as being the number one cause of burns,
I think the presence of alcohol might be a contributeing factor.

Bonfires and Alcohol? Hmm, pretty easy connection there. Kind of like a bored lonely guy, alcohol, fishing line, the internet, and 2 am. Results = not a pretty mix.

If it has anything to do with stem cells of any sort, I'm sure a group will want it banned.

Actually, there's a lot of new stem cell therapy now. They get the stem cells from umbilical cord blood, so everyone *should* be happy.

They can get a crapton of stem cells from belly fat now too. The latest rage is to suck the fat out of the stomach, separate out the stem cells there and turn them into boob cells. Seriously!

Above and beyond the wonderfulness of completely real breast implants, the fat cell stem cell therapy is a thousand times better than umbilical or embrionic stem cell therapy because it's YOUR DNA in the replacement tissue, so you don't need to take anti-rejection drugs.
