Irony: Rosenberg-Gross In The "News"

Postby traveler on Mon May 16, 2011 7:21 am

The cat is a little further out of the bag here. http://blog.simplejustice.us/2011/05/16/too-close-for-comfort.aspx
The irony for me here is that the blog has a line saying that nothing in the blog is legal advice, and that legal advice must be paid for: The article infers that in this case Mr. Gross should let it go "on the cuff" because of a deep and loyal friendship.

It seems to me that someone here wants to have his cake, eat it, and have a significant portion of everyone else's.

Gee, I wonder who put that bail money on their credit card … :rotf:

While I only know Joel digitally........................No one who has spent a few minutes around Joel would buy this, but it served to show that Joel had a bad attitude.
That's a little bit confusing. The guy also seems to ignore some little things. Little things like Joel refusing to participate in his own defense and not taking his professional advice on certain things.

Curiousity

Postby traveler on Mon May 16, 2011 12:00 pm

In the secretive "legal papers" there is a bit that I am curious about:

Shortly thereafter, Defendant was served "with a petition pursuant to Minn. Stat. Section 609.748 . in Carver County District Court, case number 10-CV-IO-1943, which Counsel also handled for him, including 2 full days of trial levidentiary hearing; and the contemporaneous written trial arguments were submitted April 29, 2011. So, that matter is concluded, also.

Does anyone know what the final disposition of this was, or if there was a final disposition? Is the matter still pending? I remembered this when, in reading the blog I referenced in the OP, there was a critical comment submitted and the blog owner made a disparaging response ala "coconuts".

… or am I not to be privy to such things?

David Gross has moved to withdraw as Joel's lawyer. I've read the papers, and they are ugly. Not so much for what they say as the basis for the motion, which though ugly and, in my view, remarkably inappropriate, but what they say about the relationship. The papers don't read like a lawyer who seeks to sever his duty to the court and the client, but an angry friend. Maybe even a spurned lover.

 EEEEEWWWWWW!! :o
