I know, TMZ isn't exactly news, but here it is.

Well I can't compete with the stack of cash.... Where was the arsenal though?

He had a lot more guns than I do. Cash too.

I'll bet I have a lot more ammo on-hand than he did (at least based on the pictures).

30 guns? That's not an "arsenal". I've lost more guns than that in boating accidents.

It is to TMZ.

I was more impressed with his shrink-wrapped bundles of cash.

No kidding. 30 guns? I probably have 30 friends who each have that many. I suppose if someone had thirty of the same gun, say, 30 ARs that were all configured alike, that might be considered an arsenal, but 30 different guns? More like a small collection.

I remember some years ago when the Chicago Bears lineman was arrested with a gun--old what's his name. Anyway I remember with what feigned shock and outrage that the newscaster read the item that night--"And authorities found over 500 rounds of ammunition at his house--a VIRTUAL ARSENAL!!" Gee--that is a box of .22 rounds, isn't it? That is a virtual arsenal?!
I do not believe in the collective wisdom of individual ignorance.

He couldn't have been all bad. Look at all the 1911's.

Well, it can be assumed that Whitey Bulger might have other stashes across the United States. He has been underground for a little over 15 years and probably has crisscrossed the United States and possibly the world, picking up and dropping off items he needed. I remember reading (in "The Brothers Bulger") that he traveled around quite a bit before disappearing and was rumored to have 25 million, although I don't know how much was in cash or other property.
