It was OK, but did they have a camera man down range to get the shots or was it tripod mounted ?

Who cares. They're big boys and girls, they can figure out the risk, and if they choose to gamble crappy odds, so be it. Film at 11.

Do you REALLY think that the instructors and RO's would allow a person down range during live fire?

Even so, I still don't think the RO's at Bill's would allow a camera down range.

Try asking the next time you're there.

Its a remote camera, they use them all the time in interviews and stories, set up the tri pod and the reporter or cameraman has a clicker in their hand and hit the botton once they get back in frame. half the sports interviews you see on the news are done this way.

And no, Bill's would not allow anyone down range for live fire. ever. Heck, they emptied the room once when I was there for a worker to go down range and reset a target hanger......And if they did allow someone down range, They'd deserve to lose their shirts in a lawsuit.

In other words, its not our responsibility.
