TSA is best at feeling up old ladies and children than screening computer bags.

Glocks are designed to go through metal detectors, is this any surprise?

Two things: first, this story is just over a year old.

Second,
He didn't realize he had forgotten to remove the loaded snub nose "baby" Glock pistol from his computer bag. But TSA officers never noticed as his bag glided along the belt and was x-rayed. When he got to his hotel after the three-hour flight, he was shocked to discover the gun traveled unnoticed from Houston.

WHY IN HELL DID HE SELF REPORT?

If you read the second page of the article it states:

"For Seif, the discovery that he had accidentally carried a handgun on an international flight from Houston came as a shock. Rather than let the incident pass, he told ABC News he felt duty-bound to alert authorities to what he considered a gaping hole in security.

So you think it's okay to not report a security violation, but that a justified homicide has to be reported?

Maybe that's one good reason I'm NOT a cop. If I had gotten away with what he got away with, there is no way I would report myself. As far as I'm concerned, this is a "no harm, no foul" situation. Upon the discovery of what I had just done, I'd probably **** myself, take a good long shower and self medicate for the rest of the day.
our quarrel is not about the value of freedom per se, but stems from our opinion of our fellow men … a man’s admiration of absolute government is proportionate to the contempt he feels for those around him --Alexis de Tocqueville--
