Man open carrying a rifle is killed by police

Brooklyn Center police kill a man walking down the sidewalk open carrying a rifle. None of the stories I found so far have very many details. More information needs to come out about this.

A reply on Facebook for KTCN's page, said her daughter saw it go down and this man pointed the rifle at the officer.

Sounds like a suicide by cop.

It was interesting to note all the newsies this morning remark with astonishment that "...it had a scope!..." must not have been a ubiquitous
assault rifle/AK-47/ machine gun

Only snipers use scopes. Hollywood has taught me that.

Maybe they'll lighten up on 'assault' rifles now and change priorities to rifles with 'assault optics'.

I'll sit this one out.

Ha! How about victim viewers? Maniac Magnifiers? That's it...we must remove all sights--whether optic or not--from guns to ensure the safety of the masses! :angryvillagers:

Got some dirt about this one, from someone who works nearby the incident. This is all hearsay of the worst kind.
Young man was told to pull up his pants by some neighbors, didn't like that request at all, went into friends apartment to retrieve said rifle and make his displeasure known.
He was just turning his life around.

So, from the account told above, he was going to either shoot or threaten his neighbors with a rifle because they told him to pull his pants up? Or did I completely misunderstand what was said?
