So was it an AK-47 or an "AK-47"?

Just look for the MGTer who looks like he really enjoys his candy and owns an AK-47. There can't be that many.

"a gun. And not just any gun – an AK-47 assault weapon."

Does this part bother anyone else? Like it makes a huge impact on the severity of what he did... It's like saying the drunk driver was in a car, but not any car, a Caprice Classic.

I think we need thicker skin than that.

While technically a gun is a gun, different weapons give you a different response when they are pointed at you. And it's much more unusual than just a handgun.

Douglas Adams made a particular witty, brilliant comment about the looks of guns that would apply here.

[quote="MNRZR"]Really? Over Candy?

I'm not saying he was at all justified.
I repeat, I'm not saying he was at all justified.

Candy robbery is still robbery. When the victims are minors, that ought to be an aggravating factor, not a mitigating one.
Would you feel differently if the kid was robbed of $50 while walking home from school?

If I were the victim of a robbery, I'm not sure the "what they got" would have a huge effect on how I felt about being robbed.

To reiterate, I'm not saying he was at all justified.

But to pull a weapon on kids for even the $50 in your example, let alone some free candy.

It had nothing to do with the candy.

He said it's because they wouldn't listen to him. Man's gotta get respect, or he has nothing!!
