Sandy Hook misinformation NO AR15 involved

I hope this is not a dupe, if so, feel free to delete.

The U-Tube link below is very interesting and can only make one wonder if the medical examiner is competent or utilizing his position to further the gun control arguement. Perhaps I have been out of the loop, but, the way it looks to me there was no assault rifle involved in the shooting, only four handguns. Additionally, it sounds as though the gun in the trunk was a shotgun not an AR15! Turn on the sound, Watch the video, the whole thing, then chime in.

The majority of information I've seen has come from the media, very few actual reports from any authority. The medical examiner is the rare exception.
One early report had a Sig 5.56 rifle suspected as the weapon used.

The media is a joke. The authorities aren't as bad but their misinformation is bad as well.

There's nobody in the woods. Except the video that shows them arresting somebody in the woods.
There's no rifle in his trunk. Except the video of the cops clearing a rifle in the trunk.

Who knows what's right

The weapon the officer was clearing in the truck looks like a pistol gripped shotgun, he definitely wasn't clearing a AR watching him work the action.

There so much misinformation--guesses by the media IMHO about this incident that the truth may never be told.

Looked like a shotgun to me as well; appears to have a full length mag tube

Someday, there will be a full blown report... most won't read it.

Local PD already stated what he had. A Bushmater AR on him with two pistols in his pants (Glock and Sig). He left a Saiga shotgun in the car.

Yeah - The original reports said the whack job had two 9 mil pistols on him, and an AR in the trunk, which means that unless he did all the shooting with the AR and then put it back in the trunk, and then had time to do himself (which is a bit unlikely) he may have done the whole thing with two 9 mil pistols like Virginia Tech.

FWIW, finally FOUND Bill's Hudson (it's BEHIND the Holiday Station on the South Frontage Road where you can't see it, despite what Google Maps says  ), and the whole back wall 12' high x 50' long is BARE. I asked them if it was full last week, and they said yes, and they had sold out all of that, restocked, and then sold out again!! :o :? As such, the number of EBR's in the public hands has probably gone up a significant percentage in the last week, as in ALL the available EBR's in stock NATIONWIDE. I think that's a pretty big number.... :? :o

I am heading for bills in Hudson in an hour and a half.

I am pretty sure it is well settled he had the bushmaster, glock, and sig with him and left a shotgun in the car.

ETA: Conspiracy theories will just make the gun community look like lunatics deserving of having their weapons confiscated.

Those walls were plumfull. I spent forever looking them over. Crazy the amount of sales.

It was hard to find for me as well. At 3 then sun basically blinds you from seeing the sign.

I thought it was well-accepted that an AR was used, but this afternoon on talk radio (Mark Stein sitting in for Rush) a caller said that it was now confirmed that the deaths were all caused by 9mm handgun rounds and the host seemed to agree with him as if he too was aware of some new report to this effect.

Is this just more misinformation or has there been something official released?

I haven't seen anything that contradicts what the ME said. Have you?

Sandy Hook misinformation NO AR15 involved

Postby xd ED on Wed Dec 26, 2012 1:56 pm

I haven't been overly curious, or investigative, but the only firm statements I've read were made early on by the Medical Examiner who stated all the fatalities were caused by rifle fire. There was at that time reports of multiple handguns, and a Sig .223/ 5.56 rifle recovered from inside the building. Then the buzz word became 'BushMaster'. I find it a bit curious that no photos have been broadcast.
