Local Gunsmith loses Banking service

Postby JJ on Thu Jan 17, 2013 7:58 pm

From my friend Chris at Keelers Gunsmithing in Becker.

I was informed by Intuit, my credit card processor, today that they will be closing my account because I have a firearm related business. They own Quickbooks for the record, ope there is something better out there, and I'm sure it will be cheaper.

I was kinda shocked to hear that.. did a little searching and sure enough.. other FFL holders have been denied merchant accounts because they 'do not support the products and services you offer..".

That sucks - I use Quicken for my personal finances. Guess I need to find something else.

PS - posting this on gun websites only reaches a limited audience. I wonder if Intuit has a facebook page..... :cogitating:

Tell them to pound salt in their arses!! Give your business to someone who appreciates it and has a little more respect for our Second Amendment.

Time to get the gun community to start posting! I just made a post, now I'm trying to link it to the NRA site...

Anyone who has had to work with Intuit knows from firsthand experience that they are a wonderful company to work with.
