Pretty much a done deal. The Senate will almost certainly pass the same bill and the Governor will almost certainly sign it. Those legislators have apparently been getting major pressure from Washington, including multiple calls from Joe Biden. They hope that Colorado will be the first domino to fall and bolster enthusiasm for a failed Federal gun control agenda.

Don't think Minnesota legislators aren't getting the same telephone calls from Uncle Joe.

600 people potentially out of a job, that's what I see it as.

Sad.

Is it taking a stand for what you believe in or is it going to end up doing more harm than good if they follow through with it? Not everyone can just pack up and go.

Believe it or not, this is actually a good thing. Until the two Parties can agree on the most basic principle "Should citizens be allowed to own firearms?" there will never be an acceptable resolution between the two. If we can bring our society's most base desire, greed, into the equation then we might get somewhere. Magpul leaving Colorado will be an immediate and noticeable loss in state tax dollars, income and jobs. It's not just Magpul, either, but every other business that Magpul interacts with.

We can't stop you from infringing on our rights, but we can take our money (your money) elsewhere. Set a precedent, let the states know that it is in their direct economic, if not political, interest to bury these bills. We already know that they're intellectually bankrupt; now let's make them financially bankrupt, as well.

Colorado's economic and jobs loss will be another state's GAIN. Maybe the people of Colorado will wake up when jobs start leaving the state...much like all the Southern California jobs going to Texas.

If they do move, it would likely be a gradual thing. It's not that hard to move a manufacturing company like this. All you need is a suitable space, and the machines. It doesn't happen overnight, but it is a credible threat. We're not talking about moving a Ford plant.

I wish RRA and Springfield would get the hell out of Illinois and move to Davenport. They could probably keep most of their employees, too.

According to Magpul they already have plans in place to rapidly move PMAG manufacturing. The way things are going it sounds like they're going to need it.
We're hearing some rumors that the Gov and the Dem caucus think we are bluffing. Just to clarify for them, then...we're not a political company. We dont play political games. We've made our position very clear, very publicly. We would not survive lying to our customer base, nor would we ever consider it. If you pass this, we will leave, and you will own it. We've already got plans in place to get PMAG manufacturing moved rapidly, and the rest of the company will follow. We will make sure to at least have a small remain-behind operation through the 2014 elections so that we can remind folks why we are gone.

It really is not helping our cause, but good for a chuckle. And a few women make some really good points.
