Leroy Duncan, with the anti-violence group Protect Minnesota, said instead of making more people criminals Minnesota should close the loophole on background checks.

"This bill mistakenly misplaces the issue of gun violence on our communities, while failing to even attempt ... to create safer communities in our state," Duncan said.

Leroy Duncan is from Chicago, Ill and is currently working with Protect Minnesota: working to end gun violence. His work there is centered on collaborating with community leaders to develop pathways to leadership for concerned community members. He is also working with Hope Community as an intern. Leroy worked with TakeAction Minnesota on economic justice issues as an organizer and heath care access issues as a canvasser. He hopes to gain insight and practical skills to develop racial equity campaigns locally, as well as build relationships with
leaders committed to racial equity.

IIRC Leroy Duncan testified at both the house and senate hearings and his brother is in jail for murder back in Chicago. (513 murders last year)

He's the guy who 'Lost his Hero' because his 'Hero' was involved in a Robbery / Murder. His brother will be out of jail in a decade or two.

It seems the big complaint today with these whiners is 'Mandatory Minimum sentencing' for crimes...and they don't get it that the way to stop the bullets from whizzing around in north Minneapolis is to put the bad guys in Jail.

And the race pimps want to cloud the issue by claiming 'disproportionate impact on Communities of Color'

The fact remains that North Minneapolis has a Thug Problem, not a Gun Problem.

Almost any large crowd that shows up for a conservative issue will play 2nd fiddle to the small opposition group who shows up.
The News media will seek out the small anti group and get a tight low angle shot to make them look bigger than they are!
Which group will get the majority of air time on the news?
Groups like this always know they will get support from the news media .
Again perception trumps reality!
Too many people have no clue ,How managed the news is.
My mother in law said to me about a week ago . If its on the news it has to be true! They cant lie.

Remember Sherif Willis ? He got support from state politicians and the local news media. I believe he is still in prison from all the crime he directed thru his gang.
