New Details on Sandy Hook Emerging

154 of 155 rounds were fired from the AR-15. He shot an average of 25 rounds from each 30-round mag before reloading. He reloaded at least 5 times. He left 3 magazines completely full when he killed himself.

Full report of the investigation is supposed to be done in June.

If this proves anything, it is that the police are not going to be able to respond in time to a mass shooting.

I thought they said they found the Ar in the trunk of the car??. Did he shoot all the kids from the parking lot?? was another Ar found. I am so confused as to what they say happend and how. Could it all be an giant hoax to fuel the fire for Obama's gun control agenda?? there is a lot of fishy stuff going on here

This does not make any sense.

"A loaded 12-gauge shotgun was found in the glove compartment of the Honda Civic *********** drove to the school with two magazines containing 70 rounds of Winchester 12-gauge shotgun rounds."

The gun found in the car was a Saiga shotgun which is visually patterned after an AK - the media and/or LE first reporting the find just didn't know what it was or were confused. Stop it with the hoax BS and take off your tinfoil hat. The pain from your tooth is probably hurting your ability to think and you should go get a filling - I promise the government will not implant a mind control device in there.

This has been answered a thousand times already. The shotgun was in the trunk, the AR was used to shoot most of the kids.

Take off the tinfoil hat.

Junk!

Now the mother and son are NRA certified....wait what?

He had a safe in his room.....

So if this was such a national breaking news, why was the search warrants sooooooo secretive? Both the mother and "suspect" died. Why was the warrants made private?

More false flag BS.

I didn't see anything about the shotgun in the glove compartment with 2 35-shell mags. Maybe that was updated out of the article.

I liked how they said they found a copy of the NRA Basic Pistol like it was the Anarchist's Cookbook.

I take that back- read the article about the shotgun that was linked off of Drudge. And now we will have Piers Morgan, et al, talking about how easy it is to conceal a full auto shotgun and 70 rounds in a lunchbox.

I'd need an old Army field jacket or a trench coat but I think I could do it.

.. I don't honestly trust a lot of the information that was making the rounds just after this first happened, way too much emotion/horror involved and people clamoring for anything that could get them an early scoop and very little solid factual information. Just because something was reported initially does not mean it was ever true, interview witnesses to a crime or accident and you'll experience the same chaos of information mixed with speculation, imagination and often contradictory "facts" from different people who watched something horrible and shocking happen.

The article lays out some evidence involved though they could have done a better job grouping relevant facts (yes, I do think they called out some of the "gun" specific elements separately on purpose, but this is NBC so I expect nothing less). In addition to the NRA Pistol book they also cited finding "an article from The New York Times about a 2008 school shooting at Northern Illinois University and three photographs of what appeared to be a dead person covered with plastic and blood. Other books included “Look Me in the Eye: My Life with Asperger’s” and “Born on a Blue Day: Inside the Mind of an Autistic Savant.”

From the StarTribune article...this now constitutes an "arsenal"....

Authorities found numerous knives, including samurai swords. They found a military-style uniform in Lanza's bedroom and handwritten notes containing the addresses of local gun shops. The guns found at the home included a .323-caliber Enfield Albian bolt-action rifle, a .22-caliber Savage Mark II rifle, a BB gun and a .22-caliber Volcanic starter pistol.

I want that " .323-caliber Enfield Albian bolt-action rifle"!

Might be hard to find ammo for it though.

What a shotgun with a 35-round magazine might look like.

As for fitting into a Civic glove box, maybe it's really a TARDIS.

I'm guessing it was a drum mag. If he'd brought that in things could have been even uglier. Don't even like thinking about that. (shudder)
