I kinda missed this thread.

If she can demonstrate proficiency with it, I have a Kel-Tec P3AT that she can have for whatever is in the aforementioned "gun fund" provided she has a permit to carry it or a permit to purchase.

Edit: and if the fund is more than 100 bucks, the rest can go to ammo.
It turns out that what you have is less important than what you do with it.

Thanks for the offer.............we'll see how things work out. I don't think she tried a P3AT yet. I will be taking her down to apply for her permit late next week or the following Mon.

It is a little snappy, but not too bad. I just never carry it anymore, and it is a much better self-defense round than a .22, even if it is a little wimpy.

i have some very light .38's loaded

I can deliver any time. loaded to high 600 FPS to maybe 700 fps, I would not shoot them out of a 8 inch barrel, the might not make it out, but they have very light recoil in a K frame and moderate as can be in a j frame.
