Linda Carroll - NBC News contributor

School shootings unnerve Americans, but the number of children injured or killed in those tragic events is just a fraction of the young people harmed by firearms each year in the United States, a new study finds.

Gee what a shock - yet another study that calls 18-20 year olds "children" just so they can hit their numbers.
Nothing to see here. Continue swimming.

are they counting drive bys?they still do those right? I think they probably make up 90% of the numbers.(accidental shootings)

so what makes sense, restrict law abiding citizens acces to firearms of course!

because theres no black market out there. it doesn't occur to the average person that it exists somehow anymore. they can't fix the real issue so lets hassle average folks and act like we're going to accomplish something.

No, we have a violent urban youth culture and for that we pay a dear cost. I'm willing to bet that the vast majority of those 10,000 deaths and injuries, a higher percentage of which they admitted happened to 18-20 year old "children", were the result of already illegal actions.

you know you have a good point there. some of these horrible losses were caused by police upholding the law( we're not so sure that a couple of the kids who got shot by them they deserved it, but its worth the doubt so the police can remain armed). the ones getting shot breaking into peoples houses though they should have been safer, There were a few threads last year?
I'm pretty sure thats extremely likely anyhow if the numbers come from across the whole country.
