Missouri gun co. to sell 'New York-compliant' AR-15 rifle

Postby ttousi on Sat Apr 05, 2014 4:40 am

A Missouri gun manufacturer says it plans to release a "New York Compliant" AR-15 rifle in response to tough gun control measure passed by New York lawmakers last year banning the sale of assault weapons in the state.

The company, Black Rain Ordnance, said the rifle would eliminate features that were made illegal under the SAFE Act. The gun will not have a pistol grip and will include a non-threaded muzzle and a 10-round low-capacity approved magazine.

I'm being serious. I think it looks cool. Will I ever own one? Probably not, but still like the look of it.

Ya they will ban it. It looks like it would hide under a coat easly. If it is compliant, the swat teams will get laughted at.

Missouri gun co. to sell 'New York-compliant' AR-15 rifle

Aside from the basic fugliness, the ergonomics are ruined. No more straight-rearward trigger pull that we've all grown to love with an AR pistol grip.

It's scary and has a shoulder thing that goes up.

This much better:

I take it the name "plumber's nightmare" has already been used, so they have to call it "compliant"?

Not interested in either of those variants. But then again, if you want one, it doesn't bother me.

Fwiw, I think the design is outstanding. It puts rifles in the hands of those that without it may very well be disarmed. And, the icing on the cake is the big "F@ck you" to the treasonous legislators and gun grabbing scumbags who rammed this down the throats of our fellow American citizens. The only thing that could possibly be better would be that some billionaire 2A advocate designed and manufactured these and then put them on sale for $1.

Then the market would just turn around and produce a levAR-action! ;)

The market will continue to produce products that fit through the loopholes that the politicians create; until the oligarchs succeed in banning them completely, or the people put a stop to it.
