I think I should open my own bank. Do business with porn stars, gun shops, marijuana dispensaries and anyone else the DOJ torments and the other banks don't want to deal with.

Now that would be a hell of a good idea. Would love to see what kind of incentives you would be giving out for opening a checking account or even better, a long term CD

"gun oil" (don't google that one at work), box of plinking ammo, or a free dugout. Depending on your interests

Well, that's one remedy. I think all of these "infringements" pushed by this administration will require much different, and more radical remedies.

I Googled it - Interesting - Gun Oil = "The ultra-concentrated formula is designed to out-perform comparable top-shelf products - a few drops lubricate thoroughly without breaking down or drying out."

I guess my innocent mind would never have thought of using the name "Gun Oil" for this type of product.

Now to get back on topic ........................................................

Is all the BULLSH!T going to end at the end of Obama's term?
And can the country revive itself quickly?
Or will a "war" of more significant types breakout amongst us?
Will "common sense" prevail?

I'm getting OLD, but leaving this mess for our children and grandchildren is what bothers me. How could our generation have screwed this up so badly?
Is it all related to the rapid access to Information through the use or mis-use of Technology?

Your thoughts please ........................................................................

The only difference between Republicans and Democrats is cultural: abortion, health care, gay marriage, minimum wage, etc. The Republicans seem to want to fight the Cold War (reincarnated as the War Against Terrorism) forever, and the Democrats seem to want to build the Great Society forever. Neither is going to seriously consider scaling back the scope of government power, military intervention, the security state, or the ginormous obligations such as Medicare and Social Security; nor consider the quaintly old-fashioned notion of not spending more than you take in. Governments only shrink involuntarily, usually under the worst possible circumstances.

Typical liberal bullying tactics. By Obama's decree, banks in Colorado can do business with dope dealers.

Even that may be tough since the contracts always state that they can drop you for any reason.

Probably true, but when you're doing business with LEGAL items, I think a discrimination lawsuit would work....as in, Why are you dropping me as a LEGIT gun store selling COMPLETELY LEGAL goods, but NOT dropping the car dealer next door ALSO selling completely legal goods? Just saying...if one gun store does this, probably won't go too far. But if 50 or 100 gun stores do this as a class action suit, it should have legs.

Oh yeah, what about the gun companies with government contracts? Do the banks drop them too? More ammo for a discrimination lawsuit.

Don't you have to be in a Federally protected "class" to be discriminated against? Otherwise, plain old contract or consumer law applies. I don't think it's illegal for a business to refuse service to a customer as long as it's not done based on gender, age, race, or physical disability

They didn't have to disclose a reason at all. Where they got into trouble was that they chose to clearly base their refusal on their opposition to same-sex marriage and they stated that right up front. The photographers' refusal was in direct violation of the New Mexico Constitution, the Human Rights Act of 1972, which offers protection from discrimination based on sexual orientation. I don't think that gun shops are mentioned as falling under that anti-discrimination law.

Unfortunately it creates classes of people who society perceives as being incapable of discriminating, with the race/poverty pimps at the top of the list.
