Ouch.

Jacobson took control of the weapon after the training, Behrns said, and put it in the back of his waistband during the debriefing. When he removed the gun, it caught on something and discharged, striking him in the buttocks, Behrns said.

Might want to try a holster next time (assuming there wasn't one by the way that reads).

I wasn't aware that our police officers did training in buttocks.

Of what does it consist?

so he's drawing the gun.....albeit not in a holster...and it discharges?

If it caught on something, wouldn't the trigger be pushed in the wrong direction to fire? As in, pushed forward? So his finger would have had to be on the trigger....

Lets see, showing off for the new guys, loaded with blanks, tucked into belt and finger on the trigger = "I'm the only one professional enough".

I was thinking the same thing, also wondering about the force required to pull the trigger on a double action revolver. Must been a hell of a snag.
