Those are great. Defending the "pointing". No, I don't think she's a hardcore gang member, but I do think she's trying to be cool and fit into the neighborhood gangsta culture. Not appropriate behavior for a mayor.

This last election probably has a lot of us thinking that way. Unfortunately, the more sane people that move out, the harder it will be for the rest of us to ever turn things around.

That is just as creepy as the picture, the fact that these people live among us.

Someone in the comments posted a video that shows the picture being taken. Hard to tell whether she knows she's flashing a gang sign or just being 'hip'. But the more disturbing thing is listening to the people in the video. One girl comments about how cool it was that their neighborhood recently got a heated bus shelter, and that the way they got it was by "letting people know we'll be showing up at the next election if we don't get justice". So 'justice' to some folks is now really just 'getting our way'. Sorry little lady, but getting a taxpayer-funded bus shelter is not in any way an act of justice.

I think society has slipped too far down the slope to recover. The mindset some people have is hard to comprehend.
