As Obama was speaking the protesters started trying to over-turn a police car and the tear gas came out.

Abc news has live from a chopper by the court house, is pretty tame for a riot but the night is young.

Teargas looks like fireworks!

Crowd seems pretty much dispersed and going home.

Kinda picking up after the looting of the liqueur store. Still, pretty low rent rioting. Gonna be an all nighter. MB would be proud :(

Looks like all hell has broken out. Multiple businesses looted and burned. Lambert airport closed. Hwy 44 blocked. Lots of gun fire.

I'm listening to a few different channels online. Multiple officers shot. Sounds like several dozen fires out of control. Firemen taking gunfire. This a really bad.

Just heard they had high powered rifle and automatic gun fire. Sounds like it's a war zone down there.

Multiple "warfighter" call signs using the state trooper channel. Must be guard units.

Omg this awful. How can anyone think this a good behavior or the right thing to do. They want respect but how can anyone possibly think they are deserving of any when you act like animals? My prayers and thoughts go out to the innocent and the poor people who have to deal with these animals tonite.
Give me liberty or give me death... Those willing to give up liberty for safety deserve neither...
