Osseo Gun club accidental shooting

Postby Kelor on Tue Apr 05, 2016 3:09 pm

Apparently, someone just shot themselves in the leg at OGC. Per Police Clips.

The trolling has already begun.

I was going to go shooting tonight, but I bet the mood isn't very good there tonight. I'll wait till Thursday.

I haven't seen any details yet, other than Police Clips saying it was a student.

Taken from Facebook

"Chris Williamson This was a private security firm performing executive security training in the private tactical training bay.. The individual was trying to holster-after an exercise. Individual is ok, was treated and released."

All is well with the world! OGC is filled with good people. I'm glad this was the issue.

Sounds like he was holstering the firearm - operator error.

Please quit using the acronym OGC.

They use it themselves. It's even their logo. What's the issue?

OGC was and Is the acronym for Oakdale Gun Club. I know others have been telling the club to talk to Osseo and suggest they not use the same.

While it might be confusing, no one owns the initials.

I have never been to Osseo, but have been to Oakdale. As an outstater, I never heard Oakdale being referred to as "OGC" but rather as Oakdale. Honestly, there are golf clubs that have been around longer that start with "O."

Both would be better off calling them by their names if you are worried about mis-identity.

O.G.C. (Originoo Gunn Clappaz) is a Hip Hop group consisting of members Jack McNair (aka Starang Wondah) (Gunn Clappa Numba One, also known as Big Will, Hurricane Starang and Strang Da Beast From Da East), Barret Powell (aka Louieville Sluggah) (Gunn Clappa Numba Two, also known as Hennyville Guzzler or Henny), and Dashawn Jamal Yates (aka Top Dog) (Gunn Clappa Numba Three, also known as Big Kahuna and D-O). The group is mostly known through their membership in the Boot Camp Clik, along with Buckshot, Smif-N-Wessun and Heltah Skeltah.

O.G.C. debuted on Smif-N-Wessun's 1995 album Dah Shinin', appearing on the tracks "Sound Bwoy Bureill" and "Cession At Da Doghillee". Later in 1995, they teamed up with Heltah Skeltah to form The Fab 5, and released the single "Leflaur Leflah Eshkoshka," which became a Billboard Hot 100 hit,

Thanks for that useful tidbit of information.

I'll never think of Oakdale Gun Club the same way again, and I'm not sure I want to "shoot" there if that's what really happens there...
Maybe that's why the dues are so high and why it's so "hard" to get in....

Two years ago, I brought this concern up at the Annual Meeting of Oakdale Gun Club, tried to explain it to Officers of Club, asked them to Trademark it and they blew it off as a non-issue for them.

So if Osseo Gun Club wants to use OGC, they have every legal right to do so - as Oakdale Gun Club has no interest in using OGC.

Unless Officers at Oakdale Gun Club wised up , although I doubt it.
