The en banc court affirmed the district courts’ judgments and held that there is no Second Amendment right for members of the general public to carry concealed firearms in public.

Well, dang. But...

I think its possible that this will be fast tracked to the supreme court where there will be a 4 to 4 tie vote which means the lower courts decision stands. Very smart move by the anti's.

Can the NRA wait until the next president appoints a judge or are they limited in time to appeal. It will be a tie vote if it is appealed.

There are two circuits that have ruled the opposite - so there's a split of opinion amongst the circuits.

The ruling did not outlaw concealed carry, it stated that the 2nd amendment does not guarantee the right to do so. The decision to actually outlaw it is still up to your state. And unless the Supreme Court agrees, the decision only applies to the states under the 9th circuit.

Seems to me it can only potentially effect those few states with 'may issue' carry laws. ...about 8-9 in number, I believe...

Of course, there'll be some tortured arguments by the antis as to why this invalidates every 2A right currently recognized.

I hope our gun owning friends on the Range will help us out this time. The core of Hennepin and Ramsey counties are probably beyond hope, but maybe we could flip the state red if the old union/Democrat loyalties up there would soften a bit.
