Certainly an excellent argument for body-cams. Will wait for more facts before making any judgments other that its amazing how a witness's story varies even during the incident. Also, if you are carrying and in a LEO encounter DO NOT REACH ANYWHERE NEAR YOUR **** GUN!

Yep; and the inevitable political machinations will make things worse for everyone.

But what are the inevitable political machinations? Genuinely curious

There will be everything from blm reaction, commentary from obama, probably hillary, and likely the antis pointing out that this is why there should not be people carrying guns. Plus some other stuff no one has thought of yet.
ETA: reading the runaway narrative on Facebook, I wouldn't be surprised if some cop cars got burned tonight..or worse.
2nd edit; it appears the video has been taken down from Facebook; but it's still out there, elsewhere.

I agree tonight is going to be ugly, along with the coming weeks. Not to hate on the police, but this is a case where, from what I have heard, not harassing someone for a burnt out taillight would have ended a million times better for everyone. It should serve as a reminder that all laws have the possibility to lead to lethal force which is super scary.

Not sure I'd call a legitimate traffic stop harassment, but yeah, it's a sad, sobering event.

If all that makes it legit is a busted taillight I'd call that harassment. The only conceivalbe reason to stop someone for that is to collect revenue for the state or to further harass them. Papers please!

I thoroughly disagree. Cars have lights for a reason. I damn near got killed by a guy driving with no lights on. Granted not the same as a tail light out, but some cars should not be on the road; no lights, bald tires, poor brakes, bad shocks, not clearing the windows after it snows. I have no problem with people being stopped for faulty equipment.
...but we digress...
ETA: for all either of us know this might have been nothing more than a warning stop,
