A 50 caliber rifle in a keyboard shaped box?

It would be interesting to find out exactly what it was.

They better put their therapist on danger money.

Instead of a toy plane they were buying for their friend's son, they found a Barrett 50-caliber rifle, scope, stand, magazine and copies of an Arizona man's driver's license and concealed-weapons permit.

Would have filled my Christmas stocking nicely :?

If they'd ordered a violin would they have gotten a Thompson SMG?

Law says anything shipped unsolicited to your abode is yours to keep.

Instead of going into lockdown I would say Oh look...free rifle? Merry Christmas to me.

That was my first thought.
But I think there'd then be an issue with an illegally transferred firearm.
... maybe this was fast and furious gone sideways.. :hmm:

Not to mention having a REALLY scary black rifle in NY. I'm surprised they didn't get arrested for touching it.

To their 'credit', they did evacuate the little lamb from the danger zone:

...Instead of a toy plane they were buying for their friend's son, they found a Barrett 50-caliber rifle, scope, stand, magazine and copies of an Arizona man's driver's license and concealed-weapons permit
They hustled their granddaughter out of the room and called police, who picked up the weapon....

Noticed that you have to go to the Fox News link to find out that there was a copy of a drivers license, and that the shipping lables had at least been looked at, verifying an incorrect delivery.

It's not the LAWS you necessarily have to worry about, it's how the laws are regulated.

even if it is labeled for delivery to someone else? At a different address?

I'm skeptical of this.
